2017 is going to be an awesome year starting with this trip to Aussie. I'm a little bit excited I guess. I think it will be more so once I'm packed and on the plane. I'm starting to run through those horror scenarios in my mind...what if I forget my passport, what if I sleep in etc etc.
Once I'm on the plane and then all I have to focus on for the next 11 days is myself and my time in Australia, the ride, fundraising, I think then I'll feel excited.
Don't focus on the goal, just keep doing the small behaviours consistently over time that will get you to the goal.
I'll be excited when I've raised $15,000. We have a much larger group goal of $200,000 but I thought if I went for $15k personally it would not be too easy but achievable if I set my mind to it and stuck at it. I think this will have to be through my Give-a-Little page now though. I understand it's an expensive time of year just having finished Christmas and then the new school year starting in a month. And if you're like me and have 5 birthdays in January then...
Every little bit helps though right, and if everyone donated just $5 I'd only need 12162 more people to donate to rech that goal. All support is greatly appreciated and if you can't spare $5 that's totally no problem at all, all I ask is that you share this blog and help me reach more people.
And if this is the first blog of mine you've read then quick recap- I'm joining 4 other kiwis and 20 or so Australians to bike from Melbourne to Adelaide on the 7th of January to raise awareness and funds for HFF who supoort children in need worldwide. In New Zealand HFF recently partnered with Starship Foundation so it's pretty exciting that some of the funds raised will come back to New Zealand children and families. I think it's a pretty awesome cause - how about you?
