So you don't feel like you're missing out could you share one with a friend and leave it at that? Or seeing as you've already eaten one should you just keep eating because obviously you've already blown it today.
Are those the sorts of things you say to yourself or do? Have you ever heard other people saying these things? Why do you think that is? Why do you think we are so willing to give up on ourselves??
It all boils down to our goals. Do your behaviors match what you are trying to achieve?
Listen, we're not going to be perfect especially when we're first starting out. There will be times when you make choices that aren't in line with your goals but OWN it and understand that it is a choice. When you take ownership of it, then it ceases to have power over you. Don't make it bad or naughty, it was just a choice. The question is, is that choice taking you closer to your goals? Or further away?
So what do YOU do when you've made a choice that's not in line with your goals?
Do you write the whole day off and continue to make choices that aren't in line with your goals? No you don't. Not anymore!! You OWN it and you get back on your journey. Not tomorrow, not on Monday, not next week. NOW! Don't make it right or wrong, naughty or good. It's a choice.
So get that water in, make those healthy choices and have fun. Start to notice what food choices make you feel good and which ones may initially give you that burst of energy but ultimately leave you tired and sluggish. It WILL get easier. Just stick at it and keep moving towards making a healthy active lifestyle your new normal. And remember, don't blow your whole day, week, month just because of one less than stellar choice. You've got this!!
